A Relative Bandwidth Allocation Method Achieving Fast Convergence Time in XCP

(in English) Recently, eXplicit Control Protocol (XCP), which explicitly sends the feedback information about current resource condition of network to end-hosts to control congestion, has been considered as the de-facto protocol in network supported congestion control. Furthermore, from this flexible mechanism, XCP is capable to provide relative resource allocation service that is impossible in other protocols. However, in the existing method at XCP, the convergence time to stability of network is slow due to the gradual resource allocation. Thereupon, this research is aimed to analyze the existing one and to propose a new allocation method at XCP routers. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed methods is evaluated through simulation.
