A Study on Distributed Information and Communication Processing Architecture for Next Generation Cloud System

(in English) Next-generation cloud computing system has to solve not only the problem of security but also problems of short-time response, high reliability and high energy efficiency to expand its coverage from IT business to social infrastructure. To solve such problems, we have proposed a distributed information and communication processing architecture for a cloud system, which we call "Reflective Network". The Reflective Network consists of Intelligent nodes (INs), Entrance nodes (ENs) and Management nodes (MNs) to control both INs and ENs over the network. The INs process the information near the source instead of data centers, and improve the response speed. The ENs reduce the amount of the network traffic by filtering unnecessary data and this contributes to power saving. Reflective Network is an architecture that is expected to enable real time processing in an order of ten millisecond which general cloud systems cannot achieve, and at the same time saves power consumption on the entire network by using functions such as information processing position changing and flow-based information processing.
