We have been studying a wireless Ad-Hoc Network having fault-tolerant functions. The advanced fault-tolerant networks are still behaving well in the cases of power loss, network cable failure and partial infringement of the system. We developed a Regional Protection System as a useful application that works with the network in normal times, in which children have mobile terminals, and transponders installed at various locations receive packets sent from these terminals to a server via a Specified Low-Power Radio System. In current a Regional Protection System, the communication facility of mobile terminals is a single direction communication to server for the purpose of lengthening battery life of mobile terminals. Therefore the server cannot control terminals. However, for the purpose of controlling LED and a buzzer of terminals to contact a child and changing a communication condition of terminals, it is useful to transmit packets for control to terminals from a server. But it is necessary for even this case to consider battery life of terminals. In this study, we suggest a communication method on hybrid systems composed of containing control packets in ACK packet and time synchronization for intermittent communication and evaluate the effectiveness. |
