Visualizing Point-of-sales Data using Virtual Topographic Map

(in English) We have proposed the visualization method "Topigraphy" for displaying large-scale tag clouds. The method use a topographical image as a background to the tag clouds so that users can grasp the relationship among tags intuitively. This paper describes the method for visualizing Point-of-sales data using Topigraphy. The proposed method excludes insignificant sales patterns by using Fisher's Exact Test and calculates relationships among sales products by Simpson coefficient. The map created by the proposed method helps users to understand both of sale situation and sales patterns visually.
