Multi-ring microstrip antennas for circular polarization in a single-layer dielectric substrate

(in English) This paper presents multi-ring microstrip antennas for circular polarization in a single-layer dielectric substrate. In order to realize circular polarization, a squared ring structure is constructed by using both sides of the substrate for the multi-ring microstrip antenna fed by an L-probe and a line width of the squared ring is tuned in addition to perturbation element for the multi-ring microstrip antenna fed a co-planar waveguide. Multi-band performance with good axial ratio of the proposed antennas is demonstrated by simulation and measurement.
