(in English) Last year, 2009, was the tenth anniversary of transmission of low-frequency (LF) standard radio waves. Meanwhile, various equipments as well as radio controlled watches, which function by using LF radio waves, have become widespread. In this paper, two main points are reported. One is an outline and a structure of LF standard time and frequency transmission system, and the other is the calculation method developed for the LF propagation and the results of the field strength measurements.
