(in English) In this study, we tried to develop an online meal entry application aiming at prevention of metabolic syndrome. Then, the health instructor verified the application with a personal digital assistant (PDA). Moreover, we considered an intuitive and simple meal entry method for other input devices. As a result, it was suggested to raise awareness of food intake of the checkup visitor, and it was suggested that the developed application might be useful for the support of providing the specific health instruction service by physicians, health nurses or dietitians.
