(in English) Recently, more and more researchers are exploring QoS of end-to-end network paths. Most studies in this area do not consider the effect of Terminal Equipment (TE) as constant and negligible. In reality, TE performance comes directly from the performance of an operating system running on the TE and is volatile in nature. This paper analyzes the properties of Windows TE and attempts to extract performance models.
