A TCP Congestion Control Method at Wireless LAN Terminal for Improving Real-Time Communication Quality

(in English) TCP Reno is often used as congestion control algorithm of TCP. In the congestion control of TCP Reno, the window size is increased until congestion occurs, consequently, quality of the real-time communication may be decreased. To resolve this problem, we propose a TCP congestion control to improve quality of real-time communications with channel occupancy. The channel occupancy is calculated by analyzing the frame size and wireless link speed of IEEE 802.11. Then, the window size is adequately adjusted to the communication situation of wireless LAN. Computer simulation results show that our method improves quality of the real-time communication with TCP communication in the same terminal.
