Throughput and Delay Test in Packet Transport Network

(in English) We propose a method of throughput and delay test in order to enable carriers to evaluate throughput and delay between an access node and another with a relay node which carriers manage. Packet Transport Network needs bandwidth control functions based on traffic shaping and policing, and throughput and delay test functions to provide the bandwidth assurance equivalent to leased line network such as TDM or ATM network. In our proposed method, which uses ethernet OAM, a relay node sends and receives test packets with OAM level of access node. Also, in this paper, we examine the implementation approach of the test function, and evaluation results show the effectiveness of the control approach of test packet send timing from a standpoint of FPGA implementation.
