Synthesis and optoelectronic properties of soluble core-shell hybrids having polythiophene core

(in English) Polythiophene exhibits excellent optoelectronic properties with a wide variety of possible applications, such as organic electroluminescence materials, orgnic transistors, and sensors. In this study, amphiphilic block copolymers having cross-linkable segments were synthesized by RAFT (Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer) polymerization of 2,5-dibromo- 3-vinylthiophene (DB3VT). For the production of novel polythiophene-based nanomaterials, we attempted the formation of highly ordered structures by self-assembly of the amphiphilic block copolymers in selective solvent, followed by coupling reaction of the bromine moieties in the poly(DB3VT) segment. Resulting core-shell hybrids having polythiophene core were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), UV-vis, and fluorescence spectroscopic methods
