Some butadiyne derivatives are known to be polymerized in the crystalline state by irradiation of UV or radiant rays or by thermal treatment to give polydiacetylenes. A large number of organic metals and superconductors composed of cation radical salts and charge transfer (CT) complex have been reported. Charge transfer conplexes have a tendency to assemble in one-dimensional (1D) stacks through  overlaps along with stacking direction. Thus, it is interesting to combine TTF with 1D -conjugated polymers like polyacetylene. In this paper, we report the synthesis of the butadiyne derivatives with donors, their solid-state polymerization studies, temperature dependent electrical conductivities. |
