In this paper, researches on the various small UWB antennas are presented. The proposed UWB antenna for mobile handset is composed of partial ground plane of lower and side portion, tapered microstrip feed line for wideband matching characteristic and L shape slot for band-stop function.. Researches on the miniaturization of UWB antenna are also presented. Miniaturized UWB chip antenna has current paths to support additional resonance mode over wide bandwidth using tapering, modified sleeve and truncated ground plane. The miniaturized UWB antenna has a dimension of 10 X 8 X 0.652 mm3 and the ground size of 30 X 30 mm3 and easily integrated with the other RF circuit. A CPW-fed polarization diversity monopole antenna consists of two heptagonal monopoles orthogonally and symmetrically printed having the extended ground planes. It has a band-notch function of 5 GHz WLAN band. |
