The purpose of this study was to examine how a transition of the conversation would occur among strangers, when they were to engage in multiple conversations and also to investigate how the transition would be associated with the atmosphere, and nonverbal behavior, such as the number of gesture, .head turning toward partner, the amount of utterance. In the experiment, 66 university students an unacquainted with one another participated as one of three-person group participated in dyadic and triadic conversations. Then, the influence of dyadic conversation on following triadic conversation was analyzed particularly in regard with the perceived activation level of atmosphere and nonverbal behavior. |
