Reconfigurable devices can be configured any logical hardware structures by users. Reconfigurable systems that have reconfigurable devices as programmable components of the computer systems have been developed recently. Our laboratory has been studying and developing an OS, “RC-OS” for reconfigurable systems that have multiple FPGAs. RC-OS manages multiple FPGAs as programmable resources and provides an execution environment of multiple applications. The performance of RC-OS with a single application using multiple FPGAs was evaluated in the previous study. In this study, the performance of RC-OS with different multiple applications that have different ratio of communication time and execution time is evaluated. |
