Automatic Generation of Computer Animation from Story Text -- Application of Shooting Rules to Derived Event Information --

(in English) Until now, several studies have tried to generate the animation from the story text automatically. Their animations, however, only visualized the meaning of each sentence in the story text. Final goal of our study is to develop and implement the system that can automatically generate the animation immersive to the viewers as if they participate in the microworld described in each sentence. In this study, the information needed for depicting the picture not only for determining the camera manipulation is derived and calculated, the camera manipulation is selected on the basis of the shooting rules drawn by reference to the film grammar. This mechanism is proposed a series of ways in which to automatically generate the immersive animation that viewers feel.
