Development of Laser Scanning Terahertz Imaging System by Using Organic Nonlinear Optical Crystals

(in English) We are developing a laser scanning terahertz (THz) imaging system for high-speed and high-resolution imaging. In this system, we used a 1.56μm femtosecond fiber laser as an optical source and a nonlinear optical crystal, DAST and DASC as a two-dimensional THz emitter. A test sample is set on the emitter and we can obtain THz transmission image of the sample by scanning the laser pulses over the two-dimensional emitter. Using this system, we could improve the measurement time and obtain THz transmitted images with maximum resolution of 140μm.
