Ophthalmic Application of Orange Fiber Laser

(in English) We developed an orange fiber laser as the source for an ophthalmic photocoagulator with superior beam quality and light-gathering ability. We created a high-luminance microscope delivery system unit whose laser spot diameter at the focal point measured 3.14 mm with the knife-edge method.We checked the effects of high luminance laser irradiation on a human eye using pseudo-biological tissue. As a result, the coagulation spot size was 3.4 mm. The effects of high-luminance laser irradiation will be thermally analyzed in a future paper.
