Tomoyuki Suzuki, Minoru Nakayama (Tokyo Inst. of Tech.) ET2010-7
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is well known that pupil size increases with interests. This report examines pupil reaction for stimuli of vocation-related characters. In case stimuli of vocation-related characters that examinees have interest are shown on the screen, pupil size of examinees increases significantly, despite those that examinees have no interest are shown as same way, pupil size of examinees does not change. Also, relation between details of vocational preference and pupil reaction is considered in this report. In case stimuli of vocation-related characters that examinees have interest for contents of job are shown on the screen, pupil size increases significantly, despite those that examinees have interest for conditions of job are shown as same way, pupil size of examinees does not change. And, reliability of pupil reaction for vocational preference index is confirmed by repeat experiment, and experiment with constraints.
