Developing a Character Recognition System from Lecture Slide by Template Matching

(in English) In recent years, professors are frequently using LCD projector in their face-to-face classes. We are developing a character recognition system that reads characters on the movies captured from the projector. The resolution of captured movies is much lower than printed matters' one, and therefore, it is very difficult to recognize characters by usual OCR applications. We tried to apply template matching to them and got rather better results.
