Distributed Video Coding Using Adaptive Rate Selection and Estimation Based on Motion-Compensated Prediction Error

(in English) Distributed video coding(DVC) has much attention in video coding because of its low encoding complexity. In this paper, we propose a DVC scheme using rate-compatible punctured LDPC(RCP-LDPC) codes and its rate estimation scheme. The proposed DVC scheme has advantages of no feedback channel and adaptive rate selection based on motion-compensated prediction error at the transmitter. By computer simulations, it is obtained that the proposed scheme has effective performance of the average PSNR and reduced total coded bits for some test video data compared to the conventional non adaptive scheme.
