A Study of Impulsive Noise for In-Vehicle PLC

(in English) In-vehicle signal transmission requires dedicated communication cables such as twisted metal wires and
optical fiber cables, which increase the weight and volume of wiring harnesses in vehicles. In-vehicle power line communication
(PLC) system is proposed to carry out the signal transmission between electronic control units (ECUs)
via in-vehicle power lines. To design communication systems, we analyze communication environments which are
mainly characterized by propagation channels and show that impulsive noises that have high amplitude and frequency
selective spectra are observed. And, this paper clarifies the model of impulsive noise and simulation results
of band pass transmission under impulsice noise environment in terms of BER.
