A space embedded equation (SEE) has been developed for expressing an arbitrary high-dimensional target system as a low-dimensional equation. The target system is analyzed using the moment vector equation (MVE) of the SEE instead of the MVE itself. First, the high-dimensional state space of the target system is discretized into a finite discrete space. Next, an embedding from the discrete space to a low-dimensional discrete space is defined. The SEE of the target system is derived using the embedding. The dimension of the MVE increases geometrically with the dimension of the target system, so it is very difficult to analyze a high-dimensional system using its MVE. However, this ``curse of dimensionality" problem can be avoided by using the MVE of the SEE. This approach can be used to analyze various properties of high-dimensional nonlinear systems that could not previously be analyzed. |
