We have been working on detecting an object with an accelerometer from
many moving objects in a camera view. The previous method we proposed
relied on color markers for visual tracking, which severely limited
practical applicability. In this paper, aiming at removing dependency
on specific knowledge of the object appearance as much as possible, we
apply the detection method to the results of natural feature tracking
within a camera view. We propose a method to speed up the computation
for the detection so that numerous natural feature points can be
handled in real time. We also investigate a method to cope with
natural features that are not always tracked continuously. |
