Viscosity is an essential mechanical property for the industrial use of liquid materials. The measurement technique of the viscosity has made, however, less progress in recent years and the conventional method cannot satisfy user's demands. For example, it is time-consuming for users to adjust the apparatus. In addition, the most apparatus can be employed only in open systems. We introduce here the Electro-Magnetically Spinning (EMS) method, which can solve these problems of the conventional methods. Recently, we actually fabricated a viscometer of this new method for the practical use. In this study, we introduce some applications of the EMS viscometer. |
