A Study on Watermarking Algorithms for Clipped Images

(in English) Clipping Attack is an important problem for Image watermarking. It causes the synchronization loss between watermark embedding and detection
processes, and as consequence, the embedded watermark cannot be detected correctly. In this paper, two image watermarking algorithms which are robust to clipping operation using self-synchronization mechanism are proposed. In both algorithms embedded watermark sequence that encoded by non-cyclic Low Density Parity Check Codes(LDPC) into the the block-wised Discreate Cosine Transform(DCT) coefficient. In the watermark extraction process, the first algorithms extracts the watermark sequence using
self-synchronization of sum-product decoding. While another algorithm firstly extracts synchronization code embedded in the regions centered by feature points of the image, and using them block segmantation starting position can be calculated. The perfomances of both algorithms are compared.
