Improvement of 10 Gbps transmission characteristics by placing Spot-Size Converters at the both ends of a 2.4 km MMF spool

(in English) We have reported “quasi-single-mode” transmission technique by placing “spot-size-converters(SSC) ” at the both ends of a 2.4km MMF line, which is connector-spliced 1.2 km 62.5 m MMF spool with 1.2 km 50 m. This report describes successful 60-hour error-free 10 Gbps transmission experiments by optimiging the launching SSC through simulation analysis.
