Source Localization of Impulsive Biological Noise at Hashirimizu Port in Yokosuka.

(in English) In this study, we observed impulsive biological noise with a pair of tetrahedron hydrophone array in May 2010. Our aim was to estimate the source positions and the peak-to-peak source level. The observation site was Hashirimizu Port in Tokyo Bay. 322 pulses were extracted from the recoded data of 5 minutes on May 12 and 584 pulses were also extracted from the recoded data of 5 minutes on May 26. The estimated source positions were concentrated near the wharf edge. The mean value of the peak-to-peak source level was about 170.2 dB re 1 μPa at 1m on May 12 and the mean value of the peak-to-peak source level was about 174.8 dB re 1 μPa at 1m on May 26.
