Tagging-MRI is a method which adds a magnetic sign (tag) to the imaging objects. By using tagging-MRI, it is possible to track the movement of myocardium. Since tagging MRI requires the post-processing of the movement analysis such as tracking the area of myocardium and the intersection of tags, this method is not used widely in clinical examinations. By applying spread spectrum method to tagging-MRI, we proposed a simple method to analyze the position information only through calculating the correlation of each pixel. In this paper, we applied the proposed method to motion phantom and its performance was compared with conventional method. From the results of the quantitative assessment for the experimental data, it is confirmed that the proposed method could accurately detect the position information. |
