A Multi-Polarization and Multi-Frequency Antenna

(in English) A single layered planar antenna which radiates circularly polarized
waves and linear polarized waves at different frequencies at the
same time has been presented in this paper. Having various functions
lately, a mobile communication device must be installed with many
antennae inside its limited space. As the number of built-in antennae
is increased, an arrangement of each antenna inside a mobile device
becomes a big problem because each antenna will interfere with each
other. One of the solutions of this problem is that using
a multi-functional antenna which is capable of radiating many
frequencies and polarized waves. There have been few planar antennae
which can be used at multi-polarizations and multi-frequencies at the
same time. In this paper, an antenna, which can be simultaneously
used for the linear 3.9G and circular GPS polarized waves at around
1.5GHz and 2.45GHz, respectively, has been presented as one example
of applications of this antenna.
