(in English) Cognitive radio is a dynamic air interface technology which utilizes the limited amount of radio spectrum resource and accommodates more various types of traffic without increasing the required system bandwidth. In this paper, after the introduction of cognitive radio, including the background, definition, main projects, etc, one approach in the context of the heterogeneous cognitive radio access networks which adequately find the underutilized radio resource among multiple radio interfaces, is highlighted: public-private cooperative cognitive radio access networks, which consist of “public cellular and/or hot spot networks”, and “private WiFi community networks, like FON”, and realize reliable Internet access services with less time and cost of service area expansion. We conclude cognitive radio under the current trends.
