Turbo decoding based on LDPC message passing algorithm

(in English) Turbo code and Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code are both greatly superior to other error correcting codes. The two families of codes are both recommended as FEC code in many communication standards, such as WiFi, WiMax and so on. Aiming at the common architecture of Turbo and LDPC decoder, this paper presents the approach of decoding turbo code using LDPC message passing algorithm instead of conventional algorithm. In this approach, parity check matrix constructing and processing methods are stated for turbo code. Moreover, this paper discusses about the influence of different message passing updating schemes in BER performance.
