In order to diffuse photovoltaic power generation, we need to decrease the PV module cost and also increase the energy conversion efficiency. This paper proposes a solar cogeneration module that generates both electricity and thermal energy from sunlight. The module is composed of amorphous photovoltaic cells, mirrors and circulating water arranged at a certain angle. The mirror and the water concentrate sunlight to the photovoltaic cells, and increase the efficiency of producing electricity per cell. The circulating water absorbs the thermal energy of the photovoltaic cells. This paper reports the design and implementation of the proposed module and test results under AM 1.5 pseudo sunlight. |
