The non-invasive elastic estimation using tomographic images at multi ple postures

(in English) The elasticity of human being is useful for diagnosis of the organ disease progress statu, surgical sim-
ulation, and so on. Conventional methods have a difficulty in measuring the elasticity of organs deeply inside the
body. In this paper, the author proposes the non-invasive method to measure elasticity of organs deeply inside the
body using MRI at multiple postures. The inclinations of the correspondence points of the object and the inclina-
tion angle are obtained using the tomographies taken at multiple postures. Then, the length and vertical stress of
the object to the normal direction of the contact side are obtained to measure the one dimensional(1D) elasticity
modulus. Besides, 1D elasticities are measured using each corresponding tomography, collecting these elasticities,
then, 2D elasticity parallel to the contact side is obtained To validate the proposed method, the author made the
agar phantom attached to the plastic case, and estimated the elasticity of the agar phantom from the tomographies.
As a result,the elasticity at the outside was estimated to be higher than the elasticity around the center.
