[Poster Presentation] Extending protocol interference model for wireless mesh networks considering signal-to-noise ratio

(in English) In order to assign time slots to links in TDMA-based wireless mesh networks, we should take into account radio interference. In a number of TDMA algorithms based on graph theory, the protocol interference model is used to obtain radio interference information, although it is not accurate in comparison with physical radio interference. On the other hand, Signal-to-Noise Ratio model (SNR model) is a well-known model which represents accurate physical radio interference. However, SNR model requires information of time slot to obtain radio interference relationship among links. It is difficult to apply SNR model directly to TDMA algorithms based on graph theory. In this report, we extend the protocol interference model to represent higher accurate radio interference by combining SNR model. Through simulation evaluations, it is shown that higher accurate protocol interference model can be accomplished by adjusting the parameter for each node.
