(in English) In these days, wireless broadband services become familiar and contribute to the development of social/economical activities all over the world. However, as the demand for radio spectrum has been very high, the tightness and scarcity of radio spectrum has become more serious.
In Japan, since the digital terrestrial TV broadcasting services have been started, the analog TV services are scheduled to be ceased in July 2011 and some “White Space” of radio spectrum will become available.
I would like to recognize this opportunity as a paradigm shift and examine how we can overcome the scarcity and further utilize radio spectrum.
