Cooperation of Hierarchical Automatic Locator Number Allocation Protocol HANA and DNS

(in English) In order to suppress the increase of the global routing table size,
throughout address hierarchicalization and multihoming that does not
depend on routing mechanisms are required. This type of multihoming
can be achieved by a method for not only end sites but also middle
level ISP's and local ISP's to be allocated multiple address spaces
from upstream ISP's and utilize all of them. We call this type of
multihoming as End-to-end multihoming. In this paper, we design and
implement a Hierarchical Automatic Number Allocation (HANA) protocol,
which takes into consideration on end-to-end multihoming and reduces
the manual router settings. In addition, we discuss cooperation of
HANA and DNS.
