Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Spectrum sharing is a new paradigm that can improve the spectral efficiency and alleviate the spectrum scarcity in wireless systems. By allowing lower-priority users to spatially reuse the spectrum allocated to higher-priority users, the spectrum resources can be efficiently utilized. In the present paper, a potential game approach for joint channel selection and power allocation in cognitive radio networks is proposed. Based on the proposed utility function, each lower-priority user attempts to choose the combination of channel and power to maximize its respective utility, which also reflects to the improvement of potential function. In particular, the situation where multiple higher-priority users may share the same frequency spectrum is considered. The simulation results show that the self-adaptation of lower-priority users in the proposed potential game minimizes the outage probability at higher-priority users and improves the spectral efficiency of the networks.
