(in English) Multi-layered satellite networks, which integrate multiple satellite constellations having different orbits, have attracted much attention as a promising next generation satellite network for facilitating ubiquitous communications. In this paper, we focus on double-layered satellite networks integrating Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites network systems. Previously, we proposed an efficient routing scheme, which properly distributes traffic between these two layers. However, the characterization of packet losses and delays was
not addressed in that work. Since this is an important aspect in verifying the effectiveness of our recently proposed routing scheme, in this paper, we evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of packet losses and delays in detail. In addition, we describe further improvements of the proposed scheme.
