Interference Suppression by Adaptive Control on Truncated Icosahedoron Antenna

(in English) Stationary satellite for satellite communications is located on a geostationary orbit at equal angular difference. The angular difference observed at Japan is 6 degrees. Therefore quality of satellite communications may deteriorate by adjacent satellite interference.
In this paper, adoptive controls are adopted on truncated icosahedrons antenna to prevent the deterioration of communication quality. Effects of diameter of array antenna, element patterns on gain and SINR characteristics are evaluated. As the result, it is clarified that about 15dB of gain is obtained by beam-forming when the diameter is larger than 2 wavelengths. Moreover, about 40dB of SINR is achieved by null forming when the diameter is larger than 6 wavelengths.
