As a pushing motor, a Cylindrical linear motor(CLM) can provide high instantaneous starting thrust. According to the characteristics of the pushing motor, this paper studies the thrust characteristics of cylindrical linear motor and analyses the starting thrust characteristics in different conditions including: materials of the secondary, length of air-gap and width of the primary tooth. The analysis results provide a foundation for the optimum design of CLM for pushing unit. |
