Ryuhei Matsuo, Akiyoshi Kitaoka (Rits Univ.) HIP2010-65
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is observed to Transform a visual characteristic by viewing from between the legs For a long time, but there are not much examinations. Our purpose is to search factors of visual space perception that influenced by viewing from the legs. We picked out shape constancy and the amount of geometrical illusion to examine. In Experiment 1, a stimulus Figure presented upright or inversion was observed by viewing stand or from between legs. It was found that the main effect of “between legs” and the between legs × inversion interaction in a specific angle. In Experiment 2, we measured the amount of Muller-Lyer illusion when it viewed stand or from between legs. As a result, the amount of illusion viewed from between legs has increased more intentionally than viewed stand.
