Distinctive temporal pattern of HRV as a possible sign of septic shock

(in English) Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a fluctuation of each heart beat, and
it is known to be a measurement of autonomic nervous system activity. Many
researchers have also claimed that HRV can be a useful tool for predicting
sepsis occurence.
In our research, HRV of patients admittd in Intensive Care
Units (ICU) is analyzed.
As a result, we observed a distinctive temporal pattern of HRV evolution
in association with the sepsis occurences.
We also give a short argument about how this temporal pattern can be used for
an indication of septic shock.
