Construction of high performance network intrusion system

(in English) Intrusion detection systems(IDSs) are equipments important to network security. Recently, there’s been an increase in research into them and especially several studies have been made on anomaly based IDSs using unsupervised machine learning techniques. However past studies still haven’t solved two problems, low detection rate and high false positive rate. In addition, there is a problem that past IDSs haven’t been evaluated by real traffic data. Then in order to solve them, we propose two improvements, that of the clustering algorithm based on OptiGrid and the existing cluster-labeling method. And we evaluate our system with both KDDCUP1999 data and real traffic data collected by honeypots in Kyoto University.
