Study on complex permittivity measurements in the W band by cut-off circular waveguide method

(in English) The frequency dependences of the complex permittivity for dielectric plates were measured in W band by the cut-off circular waveguide method using three resonators. One resonator is a novel 100GHz cavity resonator for material measurements, which was designed in consideration of the effect of the excitation halls and was fabricated. And the other resonators are 50GHz and 80GHz cavity resonators. Moreover, these measured results were compared with the results by the Whis-pering-Gallery mode dielectric resonator method and the cavity resonator method. As a result, it is verified that the cut-off circular waveguide method is useful to measure the complex permittivity of low loss dielectric plates in W band.
