Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A nested code has the nature of network coding as well as error correcting coding.
A nested encoder consists of several element encoders and an XOR operator due to combining several codewords.
If a random-like code (e.g., LDPC, Turbo code) is applied to the nested encoder as the element encoder, the decoding operation becomes infeasible due to increase of decoding complexity.
To overcome this drawback, we have proposed the turbo-like nested code where the decoding can be iteratively operated.
In this paper, we apply the turbo-like nested code to the transmit diversity and evaluate its performance via computer simulations.
In the proposed transmit diversity with turbo-like nested code can obtain not only diversity gain but also additional coding (iterative) gain.
If the receiver knows the superposition factor, it can completely eliminate its factor from the received signal. Even if the receiver does not know the superposition factor, it can still decode it efficiently.
We reveal that the proposed nested transmit diversity can achieve additional coding gain as well as diversity gain.
