We constructed polarized THz spectrometer based on the differential frequency generation (DFG) in GaP via Cr:Forsterite laser excitation with Nd: YAG laser.
As one of the most promising applications of THz spectroscopy, uniaxially strained ultra-high molecular polyethylene (UHMWPE) was evaluated.
The possibility of non-contact, harmless and in-situ evaluation of uniaxially deformed polymer is clearly shown from the changes of absorption characteristics around 2.2THz as a function of strain. |
