The trial manufacture of the neckband type pulse oximeter -- Application in an operating room the ICU --

(in English) The pulse oximeter is widely acknowledged the utility to improve the respiratory management and the safety management, and has spread rapidly on various sites such as ICU, operating rooms, and the emergency sites in recent years. On the other hand, a removable hand finger shape is generally used still simply in the measurement site. However, when the change in circulatory dynamics and the environment such as operating rooms and ICU is caused easily, data might not be able to be collected. Then, it paid attention to the neck as a new part guessed that the measurement sensitivity was better than sincipita, the attachment of the problem band type that the measurement of SpO2 is possible by the neck was made for trial purposes, and the sinciput type was compared in the present study with the value of SpO2. The problem band type of the measurement sensitivity was higher than the sinciput type in significant (P<0.001). The sinciput type is thin the measurement artery assumed to be an index and thought to receive the influence on the change in circulatory dynamics in no small way. On the other hand, it was thought that the blood vessel was fat, easy the measurement, too and did not receive the influence on the change in circulatory dynamics easily because the index of the problem band type was a vertebral artery that was the principal shock pulse that flowed to the brain.
