In this paper, we demonstrate an efficient reduction method of computational complexity in Volterra filter using subband parallel cascade structure. To compensate the nonlinear distortion of loudspeakers, a linearization system using Volterra filter is constructed. However, the computational complexity of Volterr filter becomes huge with the order. In the conventional reduction method, the Volterra filter is transformed into the parallel cascade structure using eigenvalue decomposition and the computational complexity is reduced to remove some paths with small eigenvalues. In the proposed reduction method, each linear filter in the parallel cascade structure is transformed into subband structure and the computational complexity is reduced by changing removed paths according to the characteristic of the input signal. |
