A Study on Subcarrier Selection Method for Multi-route Transmission Scheme using Subcarrier Selection-Type CSMA/CA

(in English) Multi-route transmission scheme using subcarrier selection-type CSMA/CA has been proposed to enable simultaneous transmission of data packets from plural nodes and enhance the efficient utilization of radio resources in multi-hop wireless network. In the system, transmission duration of data packet from each node depends on the number of subcarriers acquired by each node and that of packets held in each node. Therefore, even if the transmission of data packet from one of plural nodes is finished earlier than other nodes and some subcarriers becomes idle, these subcarriers cannot be used by any nodes until the other nodes finish the transmission of their data packets. These unused remaining subcarrier leads to a waste of radio resources. In this paper, as a countermeasure against this problem, we propose a novel subcarrier selection method for multi-route transmission scheme using subcarrier selection-type CSMA/CA based multi-hop wireless network. In the proposed subcarrier selection method, based on the channel condition of each subcarrier and the number of packets held in each node, subcarriers are assigned to plural nodes so as to minimize the difference between transmission duration from plural nodes. Numerical results show that the proposed subcarrier selection method enhance the efficient utilization of radio resources and improve the transmission performance.
